about liana
Hello! I’m Liana, a Licensed Graduate Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. I received my undergraduate degree from The New School and my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University.
Choosing to pursue self-knowledge and healing is a courageous act. Therapy provides a vessel for exploration, where a relationship built on non-judgment and compassion enables us to safely traverse difficult terrain. I enjoy co-creating a space with clients wherein paradox, nuance, and transformation find a home. Radical acceptance and initiating change can happen simultaneously, and I am honored to share in the work of both being and becoming with my clients.
I foster collaborative partnership through curiosity and authenticity. Together, we will listen deeply for your inner knowing, and I will encourage you to interject if you feel that I have missed the mark. The nature of our work will be defined by your needs and preferences, as I believe that the answers, though they might feel inaccessible, reside within you.
I am passionate about working with individuals who feel disconnected from parts of themselves. Perhaps you are highly logical but struggle to identify or feel emotions. Or maybe you feel emotions so intensely that your sense of self gets lost. I use various modalities including narrative therapy, mindfulness, and the use of symbols and metaphors to assist in the discovery of a more expansive self where there is love, again or for the first time, for rejected parts.
Let me know if you would like to book a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss what therapy might look like for you.
